Due to its location outside of the city and in the foothills of the Collserola mountains that border Barcelona, the area adjacent to Sant Gervasi, was known as "La Bonanova" or "Good News". Bonanova was a privileged place for foreign investors who wished to build their second homes. The two districts were then joined to the city and united at the administrative level as "Sant Gervasi - La Bonanova". Considered as the "twin neighborhood' of Sant Gervasi, Bonanova is characterized by exclusive houses, high-class buildings and luxury constructions where the high society lives.

Regarding the property purchasing process, the promise of sale is signed between a buyer and a vendor. an itemized list is attached to the promise of sale.
