Kata Noi is a cosy little sandy bay situated on the southwest coast of Phuket. This is a perfect area to relax, have cocktails and watch the sunset. Away from the crowds of tourists, this is a nice wide strip of soft golden sand with incredible clear blue waters during the high season. Kata Noi is out of the way and is particularly a quiet gateaway. Offering one of the most beautiful beaches in Phuket, Kata Noi is still a reasonably undeveloped area, which provides it a much more private and natural atmosphere. This charming spot is characterized by its natural beauty, its wonderful scenery and proposes numerous activities to entertain, in a luxury and welcoming atmosphere.

In Thailand, the law considers that a foreigner cannot own a land. The land where is built the property will be rented for a period between 30 and 90 years. Besides, the purchase is made in foreign currency (the bath, which is the Thai currency is not used).
As for the purchase of a condominium, the buyer will receive a "full ownership title" thanks to the "condominium license" but only if the good is legally registered as such.
It is encouraged to contact a professional of the real-estate market in the area to know the different steps of the buying process. It is well advised to be careful of unscrupulous vendors who might propose you a land or even a property he does not own.

Low Season

The period from May to October corresponds to the rainy season. As Phuket is close to the equator, the effects of the monsoon are reduced even if the sea can be rough.The region enjoys a tropical wet climate with  steady and warm temperatures all over the year. During this period, it is not always raining but there are high rainfalls with overcast sky. However, this season can be a nice way to discover the island without the traditional crowds of tourists and benefiting from attractive prices.

High Season
nov 01 - may 01

From November to April, it is the dry season. The month of March can be the best compromise between crowd and weather : tourists are fewer and prices are cheaper while the monsoon has not starting yet. This period provides an enjoyable climate to take advantage of the dream beaches and discover the stunning landscapes and temperatures are around 30 degrees.

Peak Season

The period from December to February is the best one as the weather is dry, it hardly ever rains, there is a blue sky and temperatures are pleasant and not particularly too much high. However, it also corresponds to the busiest period of the year. Mainly in January and February, hords of tourists arrive in Phuket to discover the stunning island. Prices skyrocket and places are crowded.

Karon viewpoint

On the jungle road between Kata and Nai Harn and through the mountains, is the breathtaking Karon viewpoint (formerly called "Kata viewpoint"). This popular sight offers impressive and magnificent views of Kata Noi, Kata Nai and Karon beaches and bays and is therefore nicknamed "hill of the three beaches" by the locals ("Kho Sam Haad"). Karon viewpoint is considered to be the best place to offer stunning panoramic views in Phuket.

Kata Temple (Wat Kittisankaram)

Situated in a beautiful nature environment, Kata Temple is at the feet of a mountain covered by a splendid tropical forest. The temple was built in 1832 and was simply named "Wat Kata". Renamed 80 years later as "Wat Kittisankaram", it featured a beautiful ordination hall housing the temple's main statue of Lord Buddha, a monastery pavilion, monks' dormitories and a primary school. This popular venue attracts tourists and locals thanks to its bright and fresh colours throughout most of the building. This true lovely local temple is worth visiting and offers impressive sights on the surroundings.

Surf House Phuket

Surf House Phuket is one of the favorite place of surfers as they can ride the waves every day, no matter what the weather conditions. But this popular spot can also be frequented by novice surfers who simply wish to learn a new sport. This place is centered on a high-pressure wave-generating machine that throws a four-inch-deep sheet of water up a sloping "pool". This is the only surf machine in the south part of Thailand and the latest model. This vibrant place is also home to trendy restaurants and popular cafés and bars to relax after the session.
