Malibu Creek State Park

This park, whose former owner was 20th Century Fox Studios, is considered the recreational crown jewel of the Santa Monica Mountains. This more than 3,000 hectares park opened in 1976 and welcomes thousands of visitors each year. It is the perfect place to go hiking, climbing, riding, exploring and enjoying yourself in one of the most spectacular parks in Los Angeles. The landscape is dramatic as it offers oak savannahs, beautiful peaks as well as tallgrass plains. It also preserves the Malibu Creek Canyon, which is a main pass through the mountains.

Malibu Pier

This pier, built in 1905, welcomes resting places where you could have something to eat at the Malibu Farm restaurant or the Malibu Farm cafe while watching surfers, spotting dolphins or even meet movie stars. It now welcomes fishermen, visitors and celebrities from all around the world. In 2014, the Hurricane Marie caused damages to pilings and landing because of enormous waves and repairs may be completed this year.

The Getty Villa
