Yorkville is an absolute neighborhood in Toronto. In the 19th century, this elegant area was the cradle of the elite population and then in the 1960s, the borough was Toronto's Bohemian and hippies hotspot. Nowadays, it is renowned for being a posh and eclectic mix of upscale condominium apartment buildings, commercial office towers as well as high-end hotels, theaters, museums, exclusive restaurants and prestigious boutiques. The dynamic but rather quiet district is home to luxury Victorian style mansions with courtyards which now welcome the wealthiest population of Toronto.

Since the Canadian government has voted a tax for foreign investors, it seems that the real estate market in Toronto has been slowing down. However, this phenomenon was wishing as the government had taken measures to limit price hike. There are more houses to sell and their prices are less expensive, which is a nice news for investors. The period from November to April is the coldest one and is characterized by a lot of wind and snow. February is the coldest month of the year. However, Toronto is worth visiting in winter. If you do not fear cold temperatures, you will discover a magic city. In December, the city has been organizing for over 45 years the Cavalcade of Lights, an renowned event that celebrates Christmas vacations with live concerts, tinsels, Christmas tree lighting ceremony and stunning firework shows. During this period, prices are cheaper and there are fewer tourists to admire this stunning city.

High Season
mai 01 - oct. 31

From May to October, this is the rainy period but it also corresponds to the tourist season. It is characterized by pedestrian markets and numerous cultural activities and international events and shows. It is the a nice compromise to visit Toronto as the weather is enjoyable, prices are affordable and there are few tourists.

Peak Season
juil. 01 - sept. 30

From July to September, Toronto welcomes crowds of tourists who come admiring the city and attend its countless events. Therefore, prices are more expensive but the city is very dynamic and hosts the festival season. During this period, the weather is the most pleasant one with nice temperatures and sunny days.

Royal Ontario Musuem

The Royal Ontario Museum is the largest museum of Canada dealing with world cultures, art and natural history. Featuring major galleries of archaeology, art and natural science, this world-class museum has a wealth of over 6 million works and pieces. Throughout hands-on and interactive exhibitions, from dinosaurs to ancient Egypt by ways of gems and minerals, visitors learn about history in an amazing way.

Casa Loma

The Casa Loma is Toronto's majestic castle which was built in 1914 by Canadian financier Sir Henry Pellatt as his private residence This Gothic Revival style building is situated in the heart of Toronto and features elegant rooms, secret passageways, sweeping staircases and lovely gardens. Its name means "Hill House" in Spanish and this castle attracts visitors from all over the world who come admiring the architecture or taking parts to special events such as Halloween parties, escape games or live concerts in the garden.

Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO)

Created in 1900, the Art gallery of Ontario is among the most distinguished art museums in North America thanks to its impressive collection, gathering over 90,000 works of art spanning the first century to the present day. This museum offers an incredible experience to any of its visitors. This must-see attraction is the 8th biggest museum in North America and displays exceptional exhibitions, from African art to cutting-edge contemporary art.  It offers remarkable temporary exhibitions, of high quality.
