Carillo is located in the Canton of Hojancha, along the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. It is a small village considered one of the most beautiful jewels in Costa Rica. There are very few hotels and restaurants, however, there are small local markets where it is possible to find everything.
The village is very sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 inhabitants, living full-time.
