The residential neighbourhood of Prati is a commercial area with many stores and places, and it was developed at the end of the 20th century with large linear streets and sidewalks. This is the perfect area for families as it is a welcoming district with a peaceful atmosphere and convenience shops. Situated next to the Vatican, even if Prati seems to be a little remote from the center of Rome, it is actually a few steps away thanks to a bridge which leads to Campo Marzio and Downtown.

The months of July and August correspond to the hottest period in Rome, with suffocating temperatures. But the numerous "Nasoni" fountains, with fresh and drinkable water, allow to quench your thirst between two tours.

Piazza Cavour

This place, created in 1876, was named in honour of one of the most important personalities, Camillo Benso, who was Count of Cavour and also the first board chairman of the Italian Kingdom during the 18th century. On this place, there is a garden, which was designed by Nicodemo Severi between 1895 and 1911 and there is also a bronze statue which is an allegory of Italy and Rome and of the Thought and Action.  It represents Camillo Cavour, who was called "Weaver" as he took an active part in the Italian unification. Besides, you will discover, still on the Cavour square, the Adriano Theater, which opened in 1898 and the Chiesa Valdese, which was built in 1914 by Bonci and Rudelli in a surprising style mixed between Romanesque-German and Byzantine-nouveau.

Sacro Cuore del Suffraggio Church

This Roman church was dedicated to Sacred-Heart and is known as the "little cathedral of Milan" for its rich Neo-gothic style. It was entrusted to the Missionaries of Jesus Sacred Heart. Built in 1894, it suffered from a fire in 1897 which only left smoke on the altar and it revealed an indisposed face surrounded by flames. It was interpreted as a sign from souls asking for prayers.

Italian Courthouse

Built in 1888 by the architect G. Calderini, it is one of the main monuments created after the proclamation of Rome as capital of Italy. This building is home to the Supreme Court of Cassation as well as the Rome Bar Counsil and a law library. It is nicknamed "Palazzaccio" (dirty palace) due to numerous suspicions of corruption linked with architectural excess, unusual dimensions and excessive decorations.
