She witnessed the explosive transformation of the once sleepy, suburban blend of residential and agricultural properties sprinkled with commercial development to its now affluent splendor of mega malls, commuter-filled freeways, and multi-million dollar developments.An award winning math student with a flair for teaching, Teresa graduated with honors from James Monroe High School, received her A.A. Degree at Valley College, and continued on at California State University, Northridge as a Business Administration major. Her work experience includes banking and public utilities, as a Customer Service Representative at L.A. DWP. Within a few months, Teresa assisted the trainer re-write their training manual and re-vamp their training program. Teresa put her career on hold and devoted her attention to her family, became involved in community affairs. And church leadership.In 1985, Teresa started her career in Real Estate. Real estate was perfect for achieving both her professional and personal goals. Professionally, she could assist people fulfill their real estate dreams. Personally, she could spend time with her family, travel, maintain involvements in church and in the community. Her Real Estate Experiencen 1985, Teresa obtained her real estate salesperson license and became a consistent multi-million dollar producer. Within the real estate community, Teresa proved to be a skillful negotiator, a resourceful problem solver, and creative marketer. She was knowledgeable, and developed a loyal following of committed clients. She assisted clients and fellow agents succeed in their real estate endeavors.In 1998, Syd Leibovitch invited Teresa to join the Paramount Properties management team at the Porter Ranch Office. With both sons in college, this opportunity came at the most perfect time. She achieved her original real estate goal, to be a full time sales manager. In 2003, Teresa continued her education and became a licensed broker.Teresa loves being a RODEO REALTY Branch Manager. With her passion for teaching she conducts weekly office meetings and training sessions. She shares her negotiating techniques, her escrow-closing skills, and her creative marketing ideas. She challenges her agents to truly know real estate and to think like an entrepreneur. Her extreme positive energy and upbeat attitude motivates them to press-on even in difficult circumstances. Her insight and calm diplomacy assists her reconcile transaction conflicts, working through to ‘win-win’ situations. Knowing that they can count on Teresa to be available day or night to assist them, she has become affectionately known as “Mother Teresa.” She motivates her agents and staff to have fun, to laugh, and to reach for the stars. Teresa is equally proud of her family – Husband Matt and their 2 sons, Ben and Mike. Teresa and Matt, now retired, live in a beautiful home in Chatsworth. Their son Ben, lives in Colorado with his lovely wife Lauren and their adorable baby, Benjamin, Jr. Ben is the financial and management trainer of a credit union in Colorado. While their other son, Michael works for a large Medical Supply company in Santa Clarita. Matt and Teresa have travelled to the east coast, London, Paris, and fulfilling her dream, throughout Spain.
