Coral Gables is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Florida and one of the most beautiful hotspots in Miami.Its architecture, entirely Mediterranean, came straight out of the imagination of the architect Georges Merrick in the 1920s.One of its most famous buildings is the famous "Biltmore" Hotel, which was the home of many celebrities and presidents, such as Al Capone or Franklin D Roosevelt.Located close to the Miami International Airport, the harbour and the city center, Coral Gables has been designed to become an international city. Today, it houses more than 20 consulates, 150 international companies and the famous international university of Miami.Coral Gables is considered as a "garden city" from which you can walk on foot along perfectly hewn gardens and Mediterranean-style buildings.

From July to September, this is the wet season, which is characterized by strong moisture, heavy rains and stifling heat. This period is to avoid because there are hurricanes and cyclones. This is the hottest and the less busy period in Miami.

High Season
oct 01 - mar 31

From October to March, this is the best period to enjoy a trip to Miami. Visitors can benefit from the beach and the sun in a quiet atmosphere. As this is the dry season, the weather is nice and particularly sunny. Winter is dry and clement and it is possible to bathe all year long as the water is around 22 degrees. Discovering Miami at this period is perfect as there are few tourists.

Peak Season

The months between March and July correspond to the tourist season. Indeed, this peak time period is due to several major events such as the Mardi Gras Carnival, the Holy Week and the Easter weekend. Miami is therefore a very crowded place as tourists want to escape from the bitter cold of North America and Canada.

Venetian Pool

Venetian Pool is the first tourist attraction in Coral Gables and is one of the most beautiful pools in Miami. It usually welcomes a family and chic clientele. Famous for its Venetian style, this unique pool was built in 1923 on the ruins of a former quarry of coral stones. Nowadays, it is filled up with source water which comes from an artesian well. The Venetian Pool is an unmissable place thanks to its incredible setting with grottos, cascades, pebble bridge, small islands and large lakes lined with palm trees, where you will relax and enjoy a nice sunbath. Going to this district without visiting Venetian Pool is the same as going to Paris without walking along the Champs-Elysées!

The Lowe Art Museum

Built in 1952, the Lowe Art Museum is located on the campus of the University of Miami. This is the first fine arts museum in Florida. With a permanent collection of more than 10,000 pieces, it gathers Greco-Roman, Asian, African and  Native American masterpieces as well as Renaissance works and paintings from renowned artists such as Gauguin or Picasso. Various masks and textiles from Kenya, Mali and Zaire are exhibited. Between four and five hours are needed to fully visit the museum.

The Biltmore Hotel

This architectural marvel was built in 1926 in a Spanish style, inspired from the Giralda building, in Sevilla. With its 100 meters high, the splendid Biltmore Hotel has a magnificent pool with an area of 2,000m2. Lined with a beautiful golf course, this hotel had its hours of glory before the 1929 market crash. After this date, it became a military hotel and was fortunately listed as an historical site in the 1970s. Since then, the Biltmore hotel has welcomed a well-off clientele, including several American Presidents. It is also famous for its Sunday Champagne Brunch: Every Sunday, from 10am to 4pm, you can enjoy elegant tables, caviar, crawfish served with champagne with a view on the pool.
