Coconuts Grove is the historic district of Miami. It was one of the first favorite neighbourhoods of intellectual artists and previously of hippies during the Flower Power era. Today, Coconuts Groves is an upscale residential neighbourhood that has become a welcome land for rich, famous and discreet people. It is a true islet with luxury vegetation, which houses some of the most beautiful residences in the region.The atmosphere is very peaceful, far from the hustle and bustle of the neighbourhoods that surround it. It is possible to come relaxing, through a walk in one of the magnificent tropical parks.

From July to September, this is the wet season, which is characterized by strong moisture, heavy rains and stifling heat. This period is to avoid because there are hurricanes and cyclones. This is the hottest and the less busy period in Miami.

High Season
oct. 01 - mars 31

From October to March, this is the best period to enjoy a trip to Miami. Visitors can benefit from the beach and the sun in a quiet atmosphere. As this is the dry season, the weather is nice and particularly sunny. Winter is dry and clement and it is possible to bathe all year long as the water is around 22 degrees. Discovering Miami at this period is perfect as there are few tourists.

Peak Season

The months between March and July correspond to the tourist season. Indeed, this peak time period is due to several major events such as the Mardi Gras Carnival, the Holy Week and the Easter weekend. Miami is therefore a very crowded place as tourists want to escape from the bitter cold of North America and Canada.

Villa Vizcaya

The splendid Villa Vizcaya was born from the wish of a rich industrialist, James Deering.In 1916, he built his property, according to the pure style of the Italian Renaissance. The villa has more than 70 rooms and 4 hectares of gardens, where trees and plants are perfectly maintained. It also enjoys a breathtaking view on Biscayne Bay.Today it has become a true extraordinary museum, home to objects from all over the world, which are vestiges of James Deering's journeys.To understand the importance of this construction in history, it is necessary to know that in 1916, Miami had no more than 10,000 inhabitants, and that 1,000 of them worked on this project.

CocoWalk

The iconic CocoWalk is a famous destination in Coconut Grove for dining and entertainment. This tranquil and low key place proposes to visitors and shoppers high-end boutiques, trendy dining and bistro cafes, live entertainment and music ranging from jazz to Latin fusion and a 14 screen luxury movie theater which offers a large range of international wine and beer.

The Barnacle House

Built in 1886 by the naval architect Ralph Monroe, who wanted to spend his old days in this property, the Barnacle is the oldest house of the Dade county. Nestled in the heart of an abundant tropical forest, this simple wood house will have you go back in time, to the discovery of the Barnacle State Park, which hosts family treasures such as hand-polished toys, a full-sized replica of the Egret (Ralph Monroe's sailing boat) as well as a refrigerator which was as expensive as a car at that time.
