Situated on one of the most desirable lots in Beverly Hills, a flat 1.2 acre street-to street lot on Rexford Drive just north of Sunset, the 7,718 square foot residence was acquired by a buyer from China to enhance his collection of homes around the world.

Archibald Quincy Jones, FAIA (1913-1979) is best known for the grand homes he designed for Southern California’s cultural elite, including Walter Annenberg’s 650-acre Rancho Mirage estate and the Holmby Hills estate commissioned by art collectors Sidney and Frances Brody. However, he also designed hundreds of public buildings and thousands of affordable houses that broke the postwar tract mold with attractive, intelligently planned homes designed “from the inside out.” Jones influenced a generation of architects with his use of natural lighting, angled walls, post-and-beam construction, efficient spaces and sensitive site design aimed at creating privacy and melding interior spaces with expansive outdoor areas.
